Pets
Loyal companions on your adventures
General Info
You can summon your pets by clicking on their summoner. When they appear, your character gets the bonuses you've set in their menu. These bonuses only work if your pet is by your side.
Your pet's mood can drop during battles! Mood affects the bonuses your pet gives. The worse their mood, the fewer bonuses you get!
How can you get a pet?
There are several ways to get a pet in NextWorld2. You don't have to do anything for your first one: every player who reaches level 2 gets a Baby Pegasus summoner in their inventory. You can buy the Black Baby Dragon for Karzium, and the Blue Baby Dragon for Dragon Coins in the Item Shop. Seasonal pets like the Winter Fairy or Dicana's Cat can be earned through holiday quests. For leveling up your upgradeable pets, Pepe the animal trainer's daily quests will help you out.
Upgradeable Pets
You can find Pepe the animal trainer next to the stable boy. He gives out the daily quests you need to upgrade your pets. Depending on your character's level, you'll get a random quest to kill monsters.
IMPORTANT! The quest only counts as completed when Pepe has upgraded your pet. Until the quest you picked up is finished, you can't get the next one. Your pet must stay with you during the whole fight (summoned), otherwise the quest won't be completed!
There are two rules to keep in mind when leveling: your dragons' level can't be higher than your character's level, but your Baby Pegasus can be upgraded without any limit, even above your character's level.

Which pet should you get first?
As a beginner, the Baby Pegasus is the obvious first choice: you get it for free, it costs nothing to upgrade or maintain, and it levels up nicely with Pepe's daily quest, earning 80% Exp per quest. Its Celestial Life skill can be boosted up to level 80, so it'll stick with you for a long time. If you want to get stronger later, the Black or Blue Baby Dragonborn gives you +10,000 HP and +5% Monster Power right from the start, and seasonal favorites like the Winter Fairy are most useful during their own Events. We've written a separate guide about mounts and the basics of the pet system: NextWorld2 Mounts and Pet System Guide.
You can find the full, always-updated pet list with bonuses on the NextWorld2 Wiki. For more about the bigger companions and over 200 collectible mounts, check out the Mounts Guide.
