Mounts: the collection that powers up your whole account

Mounts are one of the most important systems in NextWorld2: they not only let you travel faster between Kigan maps, but also give your characters permanent, fixed bonuses. Alongside upgrading your gear, building your mount collection is the longest-term investment in the game: every mount you get makes you stronger forever.
You can access your mounts in-game by pressing the O key: this opens the Mount Collector Album, where you can see your collection, bonuses, and upgrades all in one place.
How does the Mount Collector Album work?
Collecting mounts in NextWorld2 gives you account-wide benefits. When you get a mount, drag it into the Mount Collector Album: you only get its bonus from there, but in exchange, it applies to all your characters because the album is shared across your account. The more mounts you collect, the stronger your whole account gets - even your new characters start with the full power of your collection.
Mounts give fixed bonuses, so you don't have to ride them to enjoy their power: as long as a mount is in your album, it's working for you, even if you're riding a different one.
How can you get mounts?
You can get your first mounts from Pepe the animal trainer NPC, and most of the collection comes from Events. Important: while many mounts are only available during Events, the Events rotate regularly and new ones start every week, so if you miss one now, you can always get it later.
Mounts come in six rarity categories:
Upgrades and magic
Most mounts can be upgraded: an upgraded mount gives you stronger bonuses, and some mounts can even learn to fly at higher levels. In your album, colors show the status of your mounts: red means the mount can be enchanted but you haven’t done it yet; yellow means it’s enchanted, but the magic will expire within 14 days; green means you’ve got plenty of time left.
Two things to watch out for: some mounts drop a level when their magic runs out, and time-limited mounts expire when the timer runs out, meaning you keep them but lose their bonuses. You can freely trade basic mounts, but rarer ones have special rules.
Why is it worth collecting?
Because your mount collection is your account's shared power. Gear gives your character temporary strength, but the album boosts all your current and future characters, and you never lose the mounts you've collected. With regular Events, you can expand your collection every week, and upgrades let you get even more out of the mounts you already have.
