Selakim Kingdom
The Selakim Kingdom stretches along the coastal regions. Their main trade goods come from the seas and oceans: fish, mermaids, krakens, leviathans, and all sorts of creatures. They also trade in various aquatic plants.
Their army is useless on land, but at sea, no one can stop them. They have warships so powerful they could blast an ox from under a farmer in the middle of a field. Rumor has it they've even tamed sea monsters for battle.

Quila Kingdom
Quila owns the vast forests in the heart of Kigan, making their timber industry significant. A big part of their foreign trade comes from forest, swamp, and field herbs, as well as the animals living there.
Later, a civil war swept through Quila, ending with the Quila dynasty being overthrown and replaced by a king chosen by the people. Quila's army is entirely land-based. It's best not to mess with their heavy-armored infantry.

Rusus Republic
In the once thriving Rusus Republic, the idea of a single ruler never even came up. This was due to the unique tradition of the Rusus dynasty: they always ruled together with the smaller houses loyal to them. That's how the Rusus Republic was formed, led by a senate made up of delegates from the great families, headed by an elected chancellor.
The Rusus Republic quickly grew into a rich and influential power. Deep within the Elkiran Peaks, they found rare and priceless ores that far surpassed anything the neighboring countries could offer: even a thousand years of mining wouldn't have uncovered such treasures elsewhere.
But now, all that's left are ruins and memories. The Rusus Republic has vanished into history: its deserted cities, crumbling senate halls, and abandoned mines silently guard the glory of a lost age. The once proud realm now lives only in legends: it was overthrown by a joint campaign from Selakim and Quila, and the senate's power fell with it. One thing's for sure: the light of the Rusus Republic, which once shone over the whole world, has gone out for good.

Which realm will you join?
Choosing your realm in NextWorld2 is mostly about identity: you're deciding which people of Kigan you'll live out the story of. If you're drawn to coastal trading cities, warships, and the world of Diamond Bay, then Selakim under the shark banner is for you. If you're more into the deep forests of Fairy Glade and the power of heavy infantry, the people of Quila are waiting.
According to the story, the two kingdoms are still at war, so your choice also decides which side you'll fight for and who you'll face on the battlefield. It's a good idea to join wherever your friends and clanmates are going: starting together is always easier.
What happened to the Rusus Republic?
Rusus is no longer a selectable side, but its fall is one of the darkest chapters in Kigan's history. Selakim and Quila launched a joint campaign against the republic, which had grown rich among the Elkiran Peaks: the senate was massacred, the cities looted, the libraries burned, and the coronation relic vanished in the chaos. Over time, the Rusus lands became Orc territory, and above the ruins rose Diggi, the monstrous beast. You can read the full story in chapter IX of the history.
How does your realm choice affect gameplay?
Like in most MMORPGs, most of your daily gameplay, leveling, Events, or trading in the Trading House, works the same no matter which realm you choose. Your realm really matters when players meet: in clan life, rivalry, and fighting for shared goals.
According to the story, the war between Selakim and Quila shapes the present of Kigan, and your adventure will be part of that tension. But your character's strength mainly comes from your class and playstyle, so besides picking a realm, it's worth checking out the class guide before you dive into the world of Kigan.
